Who we are

Since 1953 the European Federation of Chemical Engineering has promoted scientific collaboration and supported the work of engineers and scientists in 28 European countries. Moreover, from the very beginning Eastern and Central European countries were included. Today the EFCE represents more than 100,000 chemical engineers in Europe. With its 21 Working Parties and 5 Sections it covers all areas of Chemical Engineering. We invite you to participate in the wide range of EFCE activities. We would especially like to draw your attention to our events and sections , in which everyone is welcome to participate.

  EFCE Awards

The Federation is pleased to announce the establishment of an Excellence Award in Crystallization . This prestigious prize will be presented for the first time to a researcher or engineer in the early stage of their career, who have made excellent conrtibutions to crystallization in the process industries. EFCE is pleased to announce the Carl Wagner Medal of Excellence in Electrochemical Engineering 2008 . The Medal is awarded every three years by the EFCE Working Party on Electrochemical Engineering  to a European researcher under the age of 35 for outstanding contributions to research in applied electrochemistry or electrochemical engineering .
